Vice President, Marketing

The VP, Marketing will be responsible for leading, developing and managing all aspects of marketing including demand generation, content, online, public relations and product marketing. The individual must be heavily data-centric, so a background in gathering, analyzing and driving activities based on data is critical. It is a small team so the individual needs to be very hands-on and willing to do what it takes to increase both inbound leads and leads generated by SDRs.

It is important for the individual to be comfortable with a highly technical audience.

The position will report to the CEO and will be part of a leadership team with great experience, intellect and a will to win. Responsibilities

  • Demand Generation - Drive growth in visitors, leads and opportunities for the sales team
  • Messaging - Help the company better articulate the value proposition to the market.
  • Sales Support - Develop marketing and sales collateral that support the sales process.
  • Visibility - Increase brand visibility among technical audiences
  • Measure and improve - Drive marketing activities with data and improve key metrics including user acquisition and conversion
  • Manage logictics - Drive planning, budgeting, metrics and reporting
  • Build a team - Lead and build a team of internal and contract resources

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a marketing leadership role is required, preferably for a B2B technical product/SaaS service. DevOps-related experience a big plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to achieve outstanding results.
  • Willing to get your hands dirty - this role involves extensive personal execution as well as leadership of others.
  • Be very data-driven in your approach and decision making.
